The Jehovah witnesses is a cult, and preach false doctrines about the Lord Jesus Christ, and the right way to expose their false doctrines is with the Bible (the Word of God). They believe that Jesus Christ is a created being (the first of Jehovah's creation) and assisted Him in creation. They believe that Jesus was created as Michael the archangel.
I want us to look in the Bible to expose this heresy, and show that Jesus Christ is the Creator. In the book of Colossians 1:14-15 KJV, the Bible says, 'In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
The Jehovah's Witnesses will point out that the Bible says, 'The firstborn of every creature,' without taking the verse in its context. The problem when you do not take a verse in its context, you can come up with all false interpretations, and false doctrines.
Let us continue with the next two verses, and take these verses in the context they should be taken. The Bible says in Colossians 1:16-17 KJV, 'For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.'
When you take these verses in context, you can see what the apostle Paul writes here. He writes, 'the firstborn of every creature, For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
The Bible says, ' The firstborn of every creature' and 'all things created by him and for him:'. He is before creation, and creation comes from Him. How do we know? For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: The Lord Jesus created 'all things' and this means 'all things' (this is clearly shown in v. 16)- which means, He is the Creator, who is eternal, thus, He is before all creation (creation comes from Him). You cannot have a creator of all created things and be created, that is a contradiction in terms. The Bible teaches that Jesus is the Creator of Michael the archangel, and NOT created as Michael the archangel.
In verse 17, the Bible states: And he is before all things, continues to reveal His (Jesus) sovereignty. And then Paul writes, 'and by him all things consist - Not only does Paul write that Jesus Christ is the creator of all things, but He is the maintainer of all things, and this is clear here in Colossians 1:15-17.
